Feeling A Little Stuck?

Is there an area of your life that you’re not happy with and you know things have to change but you can’t figure out what those changes are or how to make them?….Sound familiar? Some of you may have even answered “My whole Life is like that!!!”
Don’t worry! There’s definitely a way to get you moving and making long lasting, positive changes that will help you create a balanced and fulfilling life.
It really is possibIe! I am seeing this happen with one client after another. People of ALL ages are stepping up to the plate, showing up for their lives and saying “Okay, I’m ready, teach me what to do!”
So, how do you even begin to get un-stuck? Well, clearly it’s a process. No doubt you’ve spent at least a few years in the old pattern of behavior so it’s going to take a little time and effort to establish a new healthier pattern. But it can be done and it’s definitely worth it!
Here are some important steps to take in getting your life un-stuck
- Have a clear plan. And because it’s often difficult to see things clearly about yourself, I suggest that you consider working with a counselor or life coach to help you establish a plan and determine new supporting behaviors that will help you reach your goals.
- Take small steps towards your goal. Start with small changes that you repeat consistently throughout the day / week so that with each step you’re building a strong foundation under you and are able to take your next step from a place of strength.
- Make the time to Pause and Consciously Breathe throughout the day and be fully present while doing so. This is the best way to begin rewiring yourself for healthier patterns of behavior. But remember consistency is the key. To begin with, aim for doing this 3 times a day.
- Keep in mind that even though you say you want something new, letting go of the past be challenging, not because it’s what you want but because it’s familiar. This is the point where most people begin to start losing hope that things will change. Working with a counselor or life coach will help keep you focused and motivated as the new pattern of behavior takes hold.
- Remember, where you look, you will go, so stay focused on your goal!
Life is growth and growth means change. Instead of seeing change as a bad thing or something to be fearful of, why not embrace it with an open heart, a focused mind and a smart plan to get from where you are to where you want to be.
Shed those old, negative, unproductive beliefs and behaviors with joyous abandon and step up for your Life!
To paraphrase something that was once said to me…why would you settle for having chains around your ankles when you have wings on your back. Take flight into your life and don’t settle for less!
